Enchanting Halloween Tag

Hello! It's Sandie here today, with my final project for August featuring Graphic45's An Eerie Tale 8"x 8" paper pad. If you missed the Paper Bag Album and Halloween Card I made this month you can see them HERE and HERE

Today I am sharing a Halloween tag

The tag is 5.5" long and 3.75" wide and I've covered it with a layer of paper. Then I layered on some black lace and purple ribbon before adhering the sentiment with 3D foam dots. I cut a postage stamp and pumpkin from the papers and also adhered them with 3D foam. The flower is from Prima Marketing's Time Traveler collection

I do hope you have enjoyed my creations from the August kit and I hope to see you all again next month for a brand new showcasing of the September Cardz'n'Scrapz design team kit.

Spool Plinth Halloween Bottles

Hello,

Mandy here sharing a Halloween themed project for August.

I created this project by altering a large wooden spool, altered with Lindys Stamp Gang Embossing Powder in "midnight copper", black lace by Papermania, sprayed white lace with "squeezed orange" by Dylusions.

The box part was created with thick cardboard/chipboard, I made a box that measures 4.5" x 2" x 3".
I painted both sides before I glued it together while flat with black craft paint.  I used Graphic 45's "An Eerie Tale" to cover both sides.  I created a scallop edge for the bottom with some purple paper from this collection too and a top pelmet with covered chipboard using  the "ornate" large die by Tim Holtz.

The top was covered with Prima flowers, a clock paperclip also by Prima and a skull.  The inside was done by filling a large glass bottle with a broken up skeleton and by colouring some Glossy Accents with "fired brick" Distress Ink reinker.  This was dripped over the bottle for a bloody effect.  I also filled a small bottle with the reinker.  I layered over paper labels using the embossing powder and tags from the paper collection.  Some black lace was used along with black gems to embellish.

I hope you liked this project and it inspires you to start your Halloween preparations.  Thank you for looking.  I have included a video on the kit I played with for this project so you can see the product that is available in the Cardz'n'Scrapz shop in more detail.

Vintage set by Marta

Hello guys,
It's Marta here with my next August inspiration.

I am gonna show you today my vintage set. I created a card and a tag from beautiful Graphic 45 Paper pad 8x8 An Eerie Tale.
I added beautiful paper Prima Flowers.

"Thank you" wording is created on the computer and printed.
I also added some lace from my stash. White doily is made with new die cute from Prima.
The other doily seen is actually fussy cut from Prima Flowers packaging. Often times packaging is as beautiful as actual product in the box.

This tag also contains some packaging. You can easily see it on the top part of the tag. Those small dots are made with my favourite liquid pearls. Wording is from Kaisercraft clear stamp 'Today'.

I hope you liked my vintage creations. I also hope I encouraged you to use some packaging.
Sending you lots of creative hugs,
Marta xx

Discover Yourself

Hi! It's Sandie here and today I have a tag to share, which I titled Discover Yourself.

The tag itself is from the Julie Nutting for Prima Aquarelle Tag Pad and it measures at 3.5" wide x 8.5" tall.  I covered it, front and back, with Prima's Fairy Rhymes designer papers.

I stamped the Prima Doll out onto Blending Card and coloured her up with Copic markers. I paper-pieced the dress and headband.

I cut the butterfly out from the designer papers, added some flowers and pearls and a flossed button to embellish.

The 'Discover Yourself' sticker is from Cosmo Cricket's Tiny Text

Thanks for visiting today. Remember, you can also find us on Facebook and we would love to see you drop by and share your creations with us :)

Art Journal Fun Day

Hello lovelies!

Hope you are well and surviving the heat today.....I think my art supplies have even started to melt!

This is my second project for July.  I wanted to create an entry for my Finnibair Art Journal by Prima.  It has been neglected for months.  So I welcomed the chance to play with it :)

I started with a double spread by using old book pages, matt gel medium and a watered down coat of white gesso.  I then added some blue coloured paint to top of one page and bottom of other.  The alternative had some Prima papers added, also by Prima, from Finnibair.

I added loads of random strips of washi tapes in different blue tones, splashes of blue spray, Lindys Stamp Gang in Bayou Boogie Gold, and the yellow is by Winsor & Newton.  I die cut some stars and used a prima tag to create a mat for my instax photo.  I painted the wooden prima lady with the above Lindys Spray and Silks.  The blue colour was done by painting with Tattered Florals Glimmer Mist in Splash.

I finished by adding embellishments, enamel dots, more paint splashes, painted Prima chipboard, flowers and Heidi Swapp words.

Hope this helps inspire you and thank you for visiting.  See you all soon with my August creations.

Prima doll in a denim dress- a gift tag by Sylwia

Hello Again :) This time I was playing with wooden Prima Doll, flowers and denim:) Tags are always great as an addition to the present. Who wouldn't like personal touch to it? :)

Art Materials Used in This Project:

For the background I used vintage music sheet, vintage pattern paper, acrylic paint, stamps and gelatos.
Than I painted a girl and added denim to the skirt.

And of course some flowers. My tip is that if you add the paint to the background, add the same colour the any 3D elements in your project as It will emerge all the elements together.

Denim and flowers gave really cool 3D effect!

I hope you got inspired.

Love,

Sylwia

Tagged Card

Hello lovelies.

Happy July, hope everyone is enjoying their summer!  Today I am sharing my first project for July.  I created a card from our mixed media style kit this month.  I used the Prima tags bound together to create my card base.  I love how these tags allowed me to create a unique card shape.

I covered the front of my first tag with paper by Mod Podge and placed a layer of lace by Websters Pages over the top and sewed into place.  I also added some splashes of the beautiful  Luminarte Silks, vibrant paints & Lindy's Stamp Gang Starburst.

The centre of the card has a journalling notecard by Prima, with lace added to the edges along with some ruffled trim by Papermania.

I added a banner from Autentique paper line in music notes.  The centre piece of my tag is the chipboard flourish from last months kit painted in Antik metallic liquid and silks.  I stamped the dress form stamp from Deep Red on patterned paper, cut out and layerd over chipboard.  for finishing touches to this I added some Prima resist canvas.  The top of card is created with wooden dolls wooden bunting also by Prima.  All finished with a sentiment epoxy sticker from Heidi Swapp.

Thanks for popping by, loves Mandyxxx

Blooming girls- art tags by Sylwia

Hello Art Souls!!!

We are in the middle of summer:) I hope you have planned your holidays and you either read this post having cool coke by the pool somewhere in a hot hot place or... LIKE ME you read it on your computer at home enjoying your cup of coffee:) But it doesn't matter where you are, you still need to keep your creative mojo going!!!:)

Today I wanted to show you three different mixed media technique  for designing the background of the tag. I use the same stamp but as you can see the outcome is totally different.

I used really cool July mixed media kit from Cardz'n'Scrapz

To be able to paint on the tag, I gessoed it first. Than I decided to doodle colorul flowers using Acrylic Silks. They gave these beautiful watercolour look. I left the middle of the tag plain as I knew that there will be a girl's face. Than I used the Prima Bloom Girl Stamp. I decided to go in with a black ball pen to highlight outlines of the girl, what  gave her more sketchy look. I added Heidi Swapp Stickers  and I distressed the edges with a black inkpad.

In the second tag I used the stencils, Ink Spray by Ranger and Fabsraps Lindy's Stamp Gang Spray as a first layer. After that I used acrylic paint with a bubble wrap to add even more texture. I stamped the image and added some butterflies. When the tag dried, I added some lace and washi tape at the bottom. Than I added Heidi Swapp Stickers

My third art tag is a collage made of different papers. I stamped the girl on the book page. I colored it in with my beloved Faber Castell Gelatos and Pitt Brush Pens (my two favourite art supplies ever!!!)
I also added some washi tape and the stickers.

I hope you enjoyed this project :)

Love,

Sylwia

Mixed media Tag by Marta

Hello friends,

It's already July and holiday time ! For many of us it's time to relax and create :)

Today I would love to share with you my love for mixed media.
In visual art mixed media refers to an artwork in the making of which more than one medium has been used. I have mix few mediums today: gesso, gel medium, silks 6pk Autumn, inks and sprays.

The base is made with a tag from Prima.
The girl is a Prima wood doll for mixed media. Flowers and leaves are also from Prima laser cut embellishments. All of above was painted with silks.

The wording is from Cosmo Cricket Tiny Text stickers.

I hope you have enjoyed my mixed media creation. I know that for many crafters mixed media is still new and scary to try. Trust me once you will get some paint on your hands, make few splashes you will fall in love with this technique just like me :)

Sending you creative hugs,

Fabulous!

Good morning! It's Sandie back again today with a little something I made featuring Ariana, one of the Prima Mixed Media Wood Dolls and the Aquarelle Prima Tag Pad

I prepared the tag background by layering on some Prima papers with the edges inked. I took the Prima Checker Stencil and applied Brushed Corduroy distress ink with a sponge dauber and then applied gold embossing paste through the Prima Crackle Stencil

I simply coloured up Ariana with copic markers and added some Love Struck silks, from the Goodnight collection, to the shadows of her shirt. I layered on some lace and ribbon before adhering the doll and handbag accessory with 3D foam.

The FABULOUS sentiment is from Heidi Swapp's Buzz Words Epoxy Stickers. To embellish I used some Prima Flowers, gold pearls and Tim Holtz Filmstrip.

Thanks again for dropping by and have a great day!!
