It's Marta here.
Today I wish to show you my art journal pages. I created my spread in an old book. You can purchase book like that in every second hand store. Pages are old and brownish which I love.
When you will look closer you will be able to see that I have used my book upside down :) I like this kind of effect.
I used images from beautiful paper pad BoBunny (Enchanted Garden).
I sticked the cut outs from the papers and created some sort of composition.

You can also see beautiful Petaloo Paper Doilies. It added extra dimention to the project.
The brown colour around the edges was created with Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays.
I love how this turned out - like an old, rusted image.
Here is more phots as I could not limit myslef to only 2 or 3 as I loooved them all.
Those cute wording are from Cosmo Cricket - tiny text stickers.

Spooky Houses- art journal page

Hello Arty Souls:)

Halloween is coming and I wanted to show you how can you make fun journal page using beautiful papers by Graphic 45 An Erie Tale

 Just let go your scrapbooking precision and tear the paper:) Have fun!!!

This is so simple: you need to just cut out shapes of the houses and their different details such as windows, doors, roofs and put them together. Just remember to use contrasting colours. Try to play with small details as they always add more magic ;)

At the end I shade the houses with markers and also make some doodles with a pen:)

Art Journal Fun Day

Hello lovelies!

Hope you are well and surviving the heat today.....I think my art supplies have even started to melt!

This is my second project for July.  I wanted to create an entry for my Finnibair Art Journal by Prima.  It has been neglected for months.  So I welcomed the chance to play with it :)

I started with a double spread by using old book pages, matt gel medium and a watered down coat of white gesso.  I then added some blue coloured paint to top of one page and bottom of other.  The alternative had some Prima papers added, also by Prima, from Finnibair.

I added loads of random strips of washi tapes in different blue tones, splashes of blue spray, Lindys Stamp Gang in Bayou Boogie Gold, and the yellow is by Winsor & Newton.  I die cut some stars and used a prima tag to create a mat for my instax photo.  I painted the wooden prima lady with the above Lindys Spray and Silks.  The blue colour was done by painting with Tattered Florals Glimmer Mist in Splash.

I finished by adding embellishments, enamel dots, more paint splashes, painted Prima chipboard, flowers and Heidi Swapp words.

Hello my friends,

I hope you are good and in the creative mood today.

I would love to share with you my art journal page. 

I love creating in my journals. 

It's a nice way to experiment and discover new techniques. 

I started my journals to try out new art materials and to create with no restrictions.

Todays work is no different. I just went with the flow and experiment.
Here is my page.

I have created this work using Bo Bunny Paper Pad and Kaisercraft Texture Clear Stamp.

Those stamps are perfect for journaling or cardmaking. 

I also used Prima Stencil Stain. Flowers are from my stash :)

I used some sprays Lindy's Stamp Gang and pencil.

Here is few more close up photos.

As you can see the papers have some dotty design.
I decided to cut out some random shapes - strips and circles.

 

 You can see lots pages - my journal actually is made from an old book with hard cover, 

purchased in some second hand shop.

Hello Arty Souls!!!

Welcome in June:) This project is very special to me as it is inspired by the biggest event in my life!!! My little babygirl Nandi was born on 20th of May 2014. This tiny-BIG bundle of love is my biggest inspiration right now:) I decided to make a journal page which captures that special date:)




I used the fabulous June kit from Cardz'n'Scrapz and following art supplies:

Create Paper Pad 6x6 Oh Darling 
Kaisercraft Texture Clear Stamps Dream Big
Prima White Petal Flower
Gelatos
 Derwent Inktense Pencils
Acrylic paint Lagoon 
and my own collage pieces and vintage music sheet

I started with a little bit of acrylic paint in the background, than I added collage elements, paper, lace flower, vintage music sheet and my own hand made collage pieces.

Lace flower gave more texture to the page

And beautiful stamp from Kaisercraft...

I painted mummy and her little one on the separate piece of paper and I added it to the page
