Great Oaks from Little Acorns Grow - Altered Clipboard

Good morning! It's Sandie here and I am sharing an altered clipboard I made featuring the Wallflower papers from Tim Holtz along with some other fabulous products available in the Cardz 'n' Scrapz store

The clipboard is quite large at 13.75" x 9"

I prepared the surface by giving it a quick coat of gesso and then painting the edges white. I layered on some of the papers, inking all of the edges. I added an extra strip of paper at the top, as the clipboard is taller than the papers. Once I had the papers down I added the photo and a piece of velvet ribbon across the bottom of the photo, and on top of that I layered Prima resin railings, which I've stamped on.

I fussy cut some flowers and leaves and then cut out just the flowers again from a second sheet. Once I adhered the flowers/leaves down, I then inked the edges of the second flowers and layered them on top using foam dots. I also cut out some butterflies, inked the edges and adhered them with wet glue. I then began adding Prima flowers and leaves until I was happy with how it looked.

The birds are also cut from the papers, and the edges inked. They are adhered with 3D foam dots so they pop off the layout.

The sentiment is from a huge box of embellishments by K and Company and I bought it .. must be 6-7 YEARS ago.... :/ It's full of wonderful quotes, sentiments and chipboard words.

Finally, I added some pennants on the top, just under the clip and tied a wide sateen ribbon through the hole at the top of the board.
