Baggage Mini Album ! Joanne's DT Project for March !

Hi there - Joanne here showing you how to make this 'Baggage Case' Mini Album !

For this month's project I was given the beautiful new 'Cartographer' Collection from Prima ! There is such versatility with these papers and embellishments - you are spoiled with the number of projects and LO's you can make with them.

To assemble the 'case' I cut a thick piece of chipboard (A4 size) into two pieces - 5" and  7" approx.

To attach them together I took a sheet of white card stock, cut it to match the size of my chipboard and scored it in the middle to make an accordion - this will hold my insert sheets when I am assembling it at the end. I covered the album with white card stock and papers from the Cartographer collection - stamping it here and there with the Cartographer Stamp!

To add more interest and dimension to my project  - I painted some bits of old chip board pieces I had lying around with Gesso and stamped it with a stamp from the Cartographer Collection. The effect is amazing and it is so simple to do !

Next using the different papers from the Cartographer Collection - I made several inserts pages for my album.  On each page I made pockets for extra photos and tabs to attach personal items. To secure them,  I attached them into the accordion section of the album.

To cover the front of the album I had tons of fun sticking loads of embellishments onto it - prima flowers, prima chipboard, brads, Tim Holtz Ideology, Resin frames etc
To finish it off, I attached a piece of Grunge Board, inked black and held in place with two brads to form the handle of the case.

Thank you so much for looking - hope you enjoyed it !

Happy Crafting !!!!
